Catholic Social Teaching
What is Catholic Social Teaching?
Catholic social teaching (CST) applies Gospel values such as love, peace, justice, compassion, reconciliation, service and community to modern social problems. They were formed by the wisdom of Church leaders and influenced by current movements. It is part of a moral compass, guiding us on how to live out our faith in the world.
Catholic Social Teaching is how we learn about why we support a particular charity or movement. We strongly believe that the children should learn about each of the charities we support and the many things we do for the wider community. Many of the charities have a personal link to our school community.
'Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.'
1 John 3:18 (ESV)
