Curriculum Enrichment
Year 4 Maths Challenge
On 29th April the Year 4 children took on their challenge. They worked well as a team and rose to the challenge. We will find out later in May if we have made the final.
Year 5 Maths Challenge
On 7th February a group of Year 5's took part in the Year 5 Maths Challenge alongside lots of other Hertfordshire schools. They did extremely well and came second in their heat. They are through to the final round - well done!
We are very proud of our Year 5 pupils who did extremely well in the final. They worked well as a team and came in 10th place out of a total of 250 schools.
Author Visit
Eve Wersocki Morris came to our school and chatted with the KS2 children about writing stories. She also signed copies of her books.
Reception Stay and Read on the 12th October
National Poetry Day
Years 1, 2 and 3 took part in a Hertfordshire wide webinar with Poet Simon Mole. They had fun working together to make a poem about their chosen herd.
Summer Reading Challenge Success
Well done to all the children who completed the Summer reading challenge, we had trouble fitting everyone in!
Year 3 Maths Challenge
Four of our Year 3 children took part in the Herts For Learning Maths Challenge along with 200 other teams. The children worked well as a team and used lots of the strategies they have been learning in class to solve the problems.
They came 91st out of 200 teams. Well done Year 3.
English - May Pop up Book Fair
Bronnie and Bob, Bookwagon Limited, came to our school on Friday the 12th of May. They brought a bespoke selection of wonderful books they had read. They shared reviews and recommendations with the chidren. The children had an opportunity to buy one of the books recommended at the end of the day.
