Ten little fingers and ten little toes

This week we read the story of Ten little fingers and ten little toes. We spoke about some of the similarities and differences between the babies and between ourselves and our friends. We looked in mirrors and spoke about what we see - skin colour, hair colour, facial features. The children used their hands and feet to explore different textures and created a class handprint picture. In maths we sang some counting songs, the children got to help with counting and moving the teddies as we went through the songs.

We had lots of fun outside, practising our gross motor skills using the climbing frame, balancing, swinging, running and jumping. There were also some delicious creations in the mud kitchen.
