Week 10 Families, families, families

This week we read Families, families, families. We talked about the different families that people have, who we live with and if we have siblings. We looked at the children's family pictures and who each person was. The children drew pictures of their families in a house, and crated them using loose parts.

We took our first trip of the year to forest school, at first we looked round together, talking about where we can and cannot go in the forest. We also spoke about the rules to keep us safe when in there. The children got to explore the main paths and some hidden paths in the forest going from one end to the other. There was lots of climbing and noticing all the things around us.

In maths, we continued to look at patterns, can we notice what is missing from a pattern? Can we talk about the patterns we see. The children made patterns in the environment using different resources.
