Whatever next

This week we read the story Whatever next. We spoke about what we might find in space as well as how we could get there. The children came up with some great ideas and then got to create their own space ship from a box and travel to the moon. From our conversations on the carpet the children decided they would like a picnic. So on Friday we enjoyed making our own sandwiches, choosing our fillings and then eating them on the 'moon'. We also enjoyed some crisps, biscuits and juice too. 

In maths we learnt about the number 3, what it looks like without counting and how to write it. 

We started to get ready for Christmas, by decorating our Christmas tree and creating the decorations for the Christmas fayre.
