Owl babies

This week we read the story Owl Babies, we thought about how the babies might feel when their Mummy goes and they don't know where she has gone. We then thought about how we feel when our grown ups leave to go somewhere. We looked at other animals that are nocturnal and spoke about what they do in the daytime and at night time. The children got to cut and stick their own owls as well as painting a snowy owl.

In maths, they continued their work on number 3. Looking at how its formed, what three looks like counted out and if they can see it not count it. They also got to cut and stick some numbers on a number line.
