Nursery Spring 1 Week 3 The very hungry caterpillar

This week we read The very hungry caterpillar. We looked at the life cycle of a butterfly and sang a song to help us remember it. The children tried some healthy foods from the story and discussed which foods we unhealthy, they also talked about the foods whilst feeding it to the caterpillar. 

In maths we looked at number 5, we sang counting songs to practise rote counting to 5 and then practised counting out the amount of objects. The children then counted the amount and pegged the correct number. 

In phonics the children had a go at passing round an instrument without making a sound. They then had a go at playing an instrument in a beat alongside a song.
