Little Red and the very hungry lion

This week we read the story of Little Red and the very hungry lion, we looked at the where we might find the animals in the story and where they are on the map, we also then looked at countries we are originate from or our families are from. We were able to link this story to Little Red riding hood and some other traditional tales. The children enjoyed making lion faces on paper plates to display in the classroom.

In maths we looked at pattern, primarily at Kandinsky. Who he is, what his paintings are like and how we can replicate it. The children used a selection of circles to stick and recreate Kandinsky's squares with concentric circles.
