Week 2 The ascension

Hear: Jesus went back to his Father.

This week we heard the story of the Ascension. We heard that he had risen and spent time with friends on Earth before going back to his Father in Heaven, because of this we can go to Heaven to be with God too. We thought about how Jesus’ friends felt when he ascended to Heaven and how we might feel. The children had a think about what they think Heaven is like: “people, I think it’s shiny and there’s clouds, I think there’s God & Jesus, white dress, I think there’s loads of planets”.

The children created pictures of Jesus ascending to Heaven and coloured pictures of the Ascension.
