Stuck

This week we read the book Stuck, we discussed all the think Floyd got stuck n the tree and how he could get some of them down, the children made predictions and came up with some of their own ideas. after the story they made their own kites and drew some things to get stuck in a tree, some great ideas including ice cream vans, tv's and cars. We had a go at flying a real kite although unsuccessful it was still lots of fun.

In maths we looked at 2d shapes, the children identified some well known shapes and we talked about their properties. Afterwards the children cut out some different life objects and put them in the column of the shape they were - clock in circle, pizza in triangle etc. 

It has been a lovely week and we have spent a lot of time outside exploring the garden and noticing the changes all around us.
