The Gigantic turnip
This week we read the Gigantic Turnip. The children joined in with the repeated phrases in the story and explored some vegetables related to the story. We talked about the different things we can do with vegetables and together we made Turnip soup. They also used the vegetables to do some printing.
In maths we explored what is more or less in an amount. The children used resources to create two amounts and then discussed which is more or less and why.
In phonics the children practised writing their name and identifying letters of the alphabet.
