Jasper's beanstalk
This week we read Jasper's beanstalk, we looked at the life cycle of a bean and thought about what we would need to take of it like Jasper was trying to do. The children role played the story using puppets and created their own beanstalks using cardboard tubes. We thought about what might be at the top of our beanstalks..... a giant!
In maths we looked and what comes before a number, we counted backwards and forwards and ordered the numbers correctly.
With the hot weather we have done lots of water play to keep cool, dipping our feet in, having water fights and playing with different toys in the water. We made good use of the sandpit and created sandcastles, sand ice creams and using the diggers. As a special treat on Wednesday we had ice poles to cool us down.
