Baby goes to market

This week we read the story of Baby goes to market. We looked at the differences and similarities from the story to where we do our shopping here. We talked about how babies were carried in the story and how we might carry a baby here: pushchair, carrier. We also compared how Mama carried her shopping around on her head but here we have baskets, trolleys and bags.

In maths we looked at shapes and spoke bout why they are that shape. A triangle because it has 3 sides, a square because it has 4 sides the same.

We had lots of fun with sports day preparation in PE, the running races as well as the sports day carousel. There were lots of great activities and team supporting going on. 

We also finally had our campfire, we toasted marshmallows and had hot chocolate. We spoke about fire safety and how to keep safe when having bbqs and bonfires.
