Penguin on holiday

This week we read the story of Penguin on holiday. We discussed all the different things penguin did where he lived and all the things he could do on holiday. We looked at pictures of some of the children on holiday and on days out and enjoyed talking about what they were doing.

In maths we did some counting, focussing on the last number said is the amount. There were lots of counting opportunities in the class, outside and in forest school.

In Forest school, we made leaf kebabs. The children had to find a stick and choose a selection of leaves to thread on.

Our caterpillars have grown a lot over the last week, and now look like they are getting ready to turn into chrysalis.
