Celebrate: Simple signs of Lent – colour purple, seeds, growing

Hear: Lent is a time to care for others.

Our focus this week was the colour purple, how it represents Jesus dying and becoming closer to God. It reminds us of how Jesus felt and to feel sorry for him. It is a time that we can care for others, we thought back to how we care for our friends and family.

We also touched upon Lent, how it happens at the start of Spring this is when seeds start to grow - we see blossom on trees, buds on trees and bushes, flowers starting to grow. Each group went for a walk around the school grounds to see if they could find signs of Spring.
