Rainbow - Week 10 - Rosie's Walk

This week's topic has been all about Farms. We have been talking about animals and their babies, we tried to see how many we could name! We have also read 'Rosie's Walk' and we created a class map of Rosie's journey.

Our Drawing Club book has been Farmer Duck, the children have again, really enjoyed this story. They have been writing short captions about the story for their code phrases. It is encouraging to see everyone is having a go, remembering to use their robot arms to sound words out, and using their sounds mats.

In Maths, we have continued to look at composition of number, and we have learnt about doubles. The children have enjoyed rolling the dice to see if they roll a double outside, and inside they have been making doubles on the lady bird.

In Understanding the World, we have been exploring some of our sense in nature. Whilst outside, we sat quietly, and we listened to what we could hear, testing our hearing senses. The children shared what they could hear; birds singing, children playing, cars going past, people talking, wind blowing.

In RE, we have continued talking about the Easter story.

In Forest School, we will have a go at making our own paintbrushes!
