Rainbow - Week 11 & 12 - Tadpoles Promise and Easter

Week 11

On Monday, as part of Science Week, Fab Science visited us. We turned into scientists and had a go at some experiments. We had lots of fun. 

Our focus this week has been on Spring and the life cycle of frogs. The children enjoyed learning all about frogs and their lifecycle. We all had a good try at following step by step instructions of drawing a frog. They have also enjoyed playing in our class 'pond' with frogs and 'frog spawn' (chia seeds), whilst discussing the life cycle.

Our drawing club book has been 'Rosie's Walk' 

In Maths we continued looking at composition of number.

In RE, we learnt about Mothers Day (Mothering Sunday), we made cards for our Mummys and shared what we love about our Mummys. 

We were supposed to go to StreamWoods with our buddies, to see how the woods have changed now that it is Spring. Due to a timetabling change we were unable to, but we will go next week. Instead the children enjoyed some free play in forest school, taking risks, climbing trees, and knowing when it is too high for them to get back down by themselves. They really enjoyed this. 

In PE we practised our throwing and catching skills.
