Rainbow - Week 11 - Somebody Swallowed Stanley

 The week ahead

Our book for the week is Would You Rather...? by John Burningham. Through our learning, we will explore different adventures and use our imaginations to answer fun "Would You Rather?" questions during Drawing Club. We will continue working on writing our own sentences, with a focus on using our phonics, spelling tricky words correctly and forming our letters carefully.

In Maths, we will be exploring doubles and beginning to recognise odd and even numbers through practical activities using our fingers, objects and rekenreks.

Our topic learning will focus on caring for our oceans. We will read "Somebody Swallowed Stanley" and "Clem and the Crab" to help us understand how litter affects sea creatures. We will also be sorting rubbish, discussing recycling and taking part in a litter pick around the school grounds.

In Religious Education, we will learn that people all over the world are friends of Jesus and create a special display to celebrate this. During Forest School, we will also create a prayer space.
