Rainbow - Week 1 - Settling In

This week we continue to learn the basics of school life; lining up, tidying up, taking turns, listening to instructions, and so on.

We will have our first PE lesson and will take our first trip to the forest for Forest School.

As part of our Literacy, we will be listening to and talking about lots of stories. We are practising our listening skills in phonics and singing lots of number songs as part of our maths.

Our Religious Education this week will introduce the idea that God made the world.

There were lots of photos from this week, with lots of firsts to be captured.

The children had a fantastic week settling into their new classroom and learning all the new Routines and expectations.

We've been very impressed with the childrens listening skills and instruction following. Whether that be Listening out for the whistle and coming back to the circle in our first Forest School; or moving around the hall in different ways to express a range of emotions in our first PE lesson.

The children loved meeting their Year 5 Buddies. They will be joining us for our welcome assebly on Thurday 2nd October at 2:45 where all the family are invited to join us!
