Rainbow - Week 3 - My Mum

 This week we have begun to learn Phase 2 sounds s, a and t. We have learnt the sounds together to support their learning. The children have started to practice forming their letters correctly. Phonics homework will be posted onto Google Classroom every Friday morning. 

In RE, we continued to talk about God's creation. We discussed different parts of the creation and how God created it all in just 7 days!

In Maths we have been subitising (knowing how many without counting) 1, 2 and 3. We have also made different patterns with 3 and described them. 

In Understanding the World, we spoke about belonging to the school's community, and we went for a walk around the school in small groups. We visited our buddies classroom, saw all the other classrooms, and lots of staff and we even went to see Mrs Waugh in her office and got a headteachers sticker! 

In Expressive Arts and Design we have been exploring mark making with music. 

In Literacy, we have been talking about our Mums. We have drawn some lovely pictures of our Mums! We also shared lots of wonderful things about our Mums of which we have put into a short poem.
