Sunshine Summer Term Week 8 - At the Beach

This week we have continued to think about the beach and all the activities that we might do on the beach. 

Our drawing club book was The Night Pirates - We have had fun drawing pirates, pirate boats and imagining the funny things that could be in the treasure chest when they open it. We are becoming much more confident at writing our sentences and most the children are remembering to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

In maths we have been thinking about fewer, more and equal, we have been using the rekenreks to represent each concept.

Forest School was a little damp but the children enjoyed collecting ten. They had to collect ten of the same item and then check it on the ten frame to see if they had the correct amount or had collected more or fewer than ten.

In Religious Education we have been learning about the priest, what they do and who our local priests are. We also talked about our dads and shared what makes them special to us.
