Week 2 - Me and my Family

This week we are thinking about our families. We have asked for parents and carers to send in family photographs to help the children talk about the people who are in their family.

In Religious Eduction we will begin to think about God creating the world and how everything that he created was good.

In phonics we will be continuing to play games that get children making and identifying sounds. This will prepare them for when we start to learn our first phonemes (letter sounds) in the next couple of weeks.

In maths we are starting with lots of counting rhymes and learning about the numbers 1-5.

We are reading lots of stories and will be sending  books home with the children for the first time on Friday.

You will see from the photographs that we have been making our families so see if you can spot your family!
