Week 8 - We're going on a Bear Hunt

Our Topic for this half term is Me and My Community.

This week our topic book is We're Going on a Bear Hunt - this will be out Drawing Club book next week. We will be thinking about journeys and where we live.

Drawing Club this week is The Three Little Pigs. The children have been building houses, they are trying to build houses that will be sturdy and keep the pigs safe from the wolf.

In maths we are continuing to work on counting, the order of numbers and the value of each number. This week our focus is 5. We know that 5 is made from 1 and another 1 and another 1 and another 1 and another 1.

Diwali is our focus for Religious Education this week. We will learn about how Diwali is celebrated and the story behind it. We will also be making firework pictures.

In Forest School we will be thinking about animal homes and in PE we have started a new unit called Fairy Tale Dance.
