Maths - Teen Numbers - 

This week, we have been looking at teen numbers 11-19 and how these are made up of 'ten and a bit'.  We used cubes and tens frames to make up teen numbers.  

History - Schooling in Victorian Times -

On Monday afternoon, our classroom was transported back to the Victorian era and we experienced a lesson as children who lived in Victorian times did.   We sat in rows and our lesson was in handwriting.  We did not have pencils and books.  We were each given a piece of chalk and we had to write letters on to our individual chalk boards.  We had to sit in silence and do our work - our teachers were very strict!

Sports Week - 

As part of Sports Week in school, we took part in a Drama Workshop which had a Paris Olympics theme.  During the workshop, we learned about the history of the Olympic Games and also some interesting facts about Paris.    On Tuesday morning, we worked in groups with Year 5 children, doing some multi-skills activities.
